* DEVELOPMENT AND PEACE AGM. All parishioners are warmly invited to attend the upcoming Development and Peace (Caritas Canada) AGM on Saturday, June 13, 9:00 AM–12:00 PM at St. John the Apostle Parish (2340 Baseline Rd, Ottawa). *DEATH NOTIFICATION. On Thursday, May 28, Marija Karabegović has passed away in Ottawa at the age of 86. Funeral Mass will take place in our church on Tuseday, June 2, following by burial at the Pinecrest Cemetery. May the Lord grant her eternal rest and comfort to her family and friends.

*CORPUS CHRISTI. Next Sunday is the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi). After the Mass, the Holy Sacrament will be exposed for the solemn veneration. Stay a little longer in adoration and prayer before Christ present in the Host.

*FIRST FRIDAY AND SATURDAY. First Friday of the month is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and sacramental confession. Half an hour before the Mass there will be the Eucharsitic Adoration and a chance for confession in our church. First Saturday of every month is dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and prayer for vocation.

*SCREENING OF THE FILM „260 DAYS“. The screening of the film "260 Days" will be held in our church hall on Sunday, June 14th after Mass. The film is based on the novel based on the true story of Marijan Gubina. The film depicts the life of ten-year-old Marijan and his family, whose peaceful and idyllic life is suddenly destroyed by the Homeland War. Please note that the film has a war theme, and caution is recommended for sensitive viewers. Admission is $20, and the proceeds will be used to make the first feature film about Vukovar. *NOMINATIONS FOR THE 62nd HNNS TOURNAMENT QUEEN FOR JADRAN OTTAWA. We are accepting nominations for the 62nd HNNS Tournament Queen for Jadran Ottawa. The tournament Queen has been a long standing tradition for the HNNS and the prestige of being nominated and selected is a huge honour for our club. Nominations are open until June 23rd with selection happening at Croatian Day Picnic on June 27th. For more information or to make a nomination please contact Brian Rogic at brian.rogic@akkodisgroup.com Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age, female, from the St. Leopold Mandic Church Community and willing to attend all events of the Tournament weekend in September.
