* PARISH 40th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION. Next Sunday, September 20, we will mark the 40th anniversary of the founding of our parish community. We celebrate four decades of growth in faith, preservation of our Catholic tradition, Croatian culture and unity in the National Capital Region with a solemn Eucharist and community gathering. The Holy Mass at 11 a.m. will be presided over by Msgr. Marcel Damphousse, Archbishop of Ottawa-Cornwall. After the mass, an exhibition on the history of our parish will be presented in the church hall, which will be moved later on to the church. Parish luncheon and brotherly gathering to follow. Let us give thanks together for past graces and pray for the blessed future of our parish!
Ticket prices are: $30 for adults, $20 for students, free for children under 6 years of age. Luncheon reservations: Tomislav Šamija (613-791-0416) or parish office (613-722-7135). Reservation deadline is this Thursday, so hurry up to save your place.
* REGISTRATION OF COMMUNICANTS AND CONFIRMANDS. If somebody have missed the registration deadline for the First Communion or Confirmation, you cam fill up the application form today after Mass.
* THE CHILDREN LITURGY OF THE WORD DURING MASS. Today we’ve had the first Children Liturgy of the Word during Mass. We plan to continue with that practice once a month. The next liturgy is planned for Sunday, October 18.
