*** PARISH
* FIRST FRIDAY AND SATURDAY. First Friday of the month is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and sacramental confession. Half an hour before the Mass there will be the Eucharsitic Adoration and a chance for confession in our church. First Saturday of every month is dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and prayer for vocation.
* REGISTRATION OF COMMUNICANTS AND CONFIRMANDS. On Friday, September 11, after Mass we will have registration of candidates for the First Communion (2nd grade and older) and Confirmation (6th grade and older) in our church. Classes will start after that, following the schedule we set on that meeting.
* „FACES OF THE PARISH“ – EXHIBITION HONOURING 40 YEARS. We are puting together an exhibition with panels showcasing the history of pastoral care in the Ottawa community from the 1950s to present. These will be on display in the church. The last panel will be called "Faces of the Parish" and will include a collage of 100+ photos submitted by parishioners that highlight their family's involvement in the parish, or other events over the years. We want to include as many families as possible. Please consider sending your photos to Nicholas Žuger at zuger.nicholas@gmail.com or the parish office at leopoldmandic@rogers.com. Include the year the photo was taken (if known), who is in the photo, and what the photo is about (baptism, wedding, etc.). If the photos are in print, you can drop them off at Nicholas' home 64 Palomino Dr in Kanata or give them to Fr. Dinko. Photos will be scanned and returned. Restrictiopns may apply to have 2-3 photos per family for the exhibition, but there may be other future opportunities to display the photos.
Deadline for submitting photos is Sunday, September 6. Many are still travelling, so Nicholas may create a second collage featuring photos that couldn't be included in the first version. This would be put on display in October. Please feel free to forward this on.
