* THE CHILDREN LITURGY OF THE WORD DURING MASS. Next Sunday, October 18, we continue with the monthly Children's Liturgy of the Word during the regular 11:00 a.m. Sunday Mass. The Children's Liturgy of the Word is intended for children aged 4 to 7, or those who have not yet received First Holy Communion. Children of all ages are welcome, though those under 4 must be accompanied by an adult. This provides children with the opportunity to hear and explore the Sunday Gospel in a way that is engaging, accessible, and age-appropriate. During the liturgy, the children hear the Sunday Gospel presented in a manner suited to their age. They reflect on and discuss the Gospel together and participate in activities such as colouring, crafts, puzzles, word searches, mazes, and more. After the homily, the children return to the church to join their families for the Liturgy of the Eucharist and the remainder of the Mass.
* MARIAN DEVOTION IN OCTOBER. October has started. It is the month especially dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary. We will gather together on Sunday, half an hour before the Mass to pray Holy Rosary and Lauretan Litany. Keep in mind to pray the Rosary daily individually as well.
* CATECHISM CLASSES FOR THE CANDIDATES FOR THE FIRST COMMUNION AND CONFIRMANDS. Catechism classes for the candidates for the First Communion and Confirmation goes on as scheduled. This Friday, October 16 at 7:30 p.m. there is a class for confirmands, and at the same time next Friday, October 23 there will be class for candidates for the First Communion. Attending Sunday Mass is an obligatory part of the preparation for the sacraments, as well as part of the Third God's Commandment.
