* THE LENT SEASON. The Lent season is 40 days of preparation for Easter, which should be marked with fasting, penance and almsgiving. Remember your neighbour in material and spiritual need. Keep in mind obligation of abstinence from meet on Lenten Fridays. Confession Day before Easter in our parish will be March 26 at 6:00 p.m. You can have confession in Croatian or English with me or Fr. Dragan Bolčić, pastor from Montreal. Sign up your elderly and ill for the priest visit, so I could come to listen to their confession and bring them the holy Eucharist. Way of the Cross in our church is every Friday and Sunday, half an hour before Mass.

* NEW MEMBERS OF THE PARISH COUNCILS. Lust Sunday at the AGM of our parish, we have chosen new members of the Parish Economic and Pastoral Council. New members names could be found at the header of our Parish bulletin. Big thank you to all the former members of the councils for their efforts, time and dedication to our community. We wish a warm welcome to the new members and plenty of wisdom and God's blessing in their work for the good of our parish.

* PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL MEETING. Will be held on Wednesday, March 11 in the conference room.

* PALM SUNDAY PARISH LUNCHEON. On Palm Sunday, March 29 after Mass, we will have a traditional parish luncheon. Tickets are $30 for adults, $20 for students and children under 6 for free. Book your tickets at the Parish Office (613-722-7135) or Vinko Marinković (613-822-3321) till Thursday, March 26. We invite volunteers to come and prepare church hall for the event on Saturday, March 28 at 7:00 p.m. Cake donations are welcome as well.

* TAX RECEIPTS. If somebody didn't pick up his tax receipt, he can do so at the stand by the entrance door.

* CATECHISM CLASSES FOR CONFIRMANDS AND CANDIDATES FOR THE FIRST COMMUNION. Catechism classes go as usual. Candidates for the First Communion will have class this week, on Friday, March 13 at 7:30 p.m. Confirmands will have their class next week, on Friday, March 20 at 7:30 p.m. Attending Sunday mass is implied for all.
