*ST. NICHOLAS DAY. Yesterday was St. Nicholas Day, so today after mass, St. Nick is coming to make our children happy with small gifts. Everyone come down to our church after Mass where the students of the Croatian School and Croatoan will perform their short recital.

*CATECHISM CLASSES FOR THE CANDIDATES FOR THE FIRST COMMUNION AND CONFIRMANDS. Catechism classes for the confirmands is this Friday, December 12, at 7:30 p.m. in our church, and for candidates for the First Communion next Friday, December 19 at 7:30 p.m. Attending Sunday Mass is the 3rd God's commandment and a part of sacramental preparation.

*CHRISTMAS CONFESSION DAY. It will be on Thursday, December 18 at 6:00 p.m. There will be two priests available: myself and pastor of Croatian parish in Montreal. There is an opportunity to have confession in Croatian or English language. After the confession, there will be mass at 7:00 p.m. None of the faithful should meet Christmas without sacramental confession unless there is a grave reason. Let's all come together and have a good spiritual preparation for Christmas. Also remember to register your sick and elderly for home visit, so priest can come, hear confession and bring Holy Communion to them before Christmas.

*NEW YEAR'S EVE PARTY. Our parish will organize New Year's Eve Party with music, raffle, dinner and dancing. Ticket price: adults $90, students $60, children 7-12 $20, children under 6 for free. Ticket price includes a dinner, a bottle of wine per table and a  midnight buffet. Music will be played by our DJ Anki. Ticket reservations: Parish office (613-722-7135) and Vinko Marinković (613-822-3321). Please, apply as soon as possible for easier organization and preparation for the event. Sponsors for the raffle are appreciated. I also invite anyone willing to volunteer to prepare cakes and/or preparing the hall for the event, to come on Tuesday, December 30 at 7 p.m.

*CROATOAN WINTER BANQUET. Our Winter Banquet is just around the corner!  Join us for an evening filled with music, dinner, and dancing - celebrate the season with a night of monochrome magic. Come dressed in your favorite black-and-white inspired look as we enjoy a night of community, warmth, and winter charm - look forward to performances by our folklore group, as well as by special guests Montreal Kardinal Stepinac. Then our live band, Grupa Baština, will have us dancing the night away!

*OFFICIAL LOGO DESIGN COMPETITION - CALL TO THE COMMUNITY. The Croatian Jadran Soccer Club Ottawa is launching a community-wide competition to design the official logo for the 62nd Croatian-North American Soccer Tournament, coming to Ottawa in September 2026.
