***PARISH
*FAMILY BLESSING REVIEW. This year I visited 56 families who applied for a blessing, which is a better number than the last, post-pandemic year, but still small compared to the total of our parish members. I understand that there was a certain number of absent and sick people who could not physically welcome the priest in their homes, but the priest should come to every house at least once a year. It's not about the financial gift nor a lunch or dinner, but praying together and the opportunity for a conversation in person. Thank you everyone for your generosity and hospitality, and I also invite those who did not have their home blessed this year, to do so next year.
*CATECHISM CLASSES FOR CANDIDATES FOR THE FIRST COMMUNION AND CONFIRMANDS. Catechism classes for the candidates for the First Communion and the confirmands go as usual. This Friday, February 9 there is a class for the candidates for the First Communion at 7:45 p.m, and the confirmands will have their class on the other Friday, February 16 at 7:30 p.m. Attending Sunday mass is implied for all.
*ENVELOPES AND CALENDARS. If somebody didn't pick up his new donation envelopes or calendars, he can do so at the stand by the entrance door.
*BILINGUAL MASS. Earlier, we introduced a Mass in English for those who don't speak Croatian at all or very little, but it did not fulfill its purpose because many felt separated from the rest of the community. That's why we decided to introduce a bilingual Mass once a month. The Mass will continue to be in Croatian, but the Liturgy of the Word will be also in English, so that everyone can be included. We plan to have the first Mass of that kind on Sunday, February 11 at 11 a.m. We are also looking for volunteer readers for Mass readings in English.
***CROATOAN

Light food and drinks will be available for purchase. Tickets (available at the door only): $20 in costume, $25 no costume.
