*CONFIRMATION FOR ADULT (& OLDER TEEN) CATHOLICS. There will be a Confirmation in English for older teen & adult Catholics who have missed Confirmation on Pentecost Sunday, May 19 , 2:30 pm at Notre Dame Cathedral. The registration form is online at https://forms.office.com/r/7A219SeUEN. Please note the registration deadline of April 12. More details will be sent to parishes with candidates closer to the May date.

*DEATH NOTIFICATION. Mr. Vid Bakin has passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, in Ottawa at the age of 82. Funeral Mass will be held in our church on Tuesday, March 5 at 11 a.m. and burial at Notre-Dame Cemetery to follow. May the Lord grant him eternal peace and divine consolation to the family and friends.
*PALM SUNDAY PARISH LUNCHEON. On Palm Sunday, March 24 after Mass, we will have a traditional parish luncheon. Tickets are $30 for adults, $20 for students and children under 6 for free. Book your tickets at the Parish Office (613-722-7135) or Vinko Marinković (613-822-3321).
*THE LENT SEASON. We are in the Lent season, 40 days preparation for Easter, which should be marked with fasting, penance and almsgiving. Remember your neighbour in material and spiritual need. Keep in mind obligation of abstinence from meet on Lenten Fridays. Confession Day before Easter in our parish will be March 21 at 6:00 p.m. Sign up your elderly and ill for the priest visit, so I could come to listen to their confession and bring them the holy Eucharist. Way of the Cross takes place in our church every Friday and Sunday, half an hour before Mass.
*CATECHISM CLASSES FOR CANDIDATES FOR THE FIRST COMMUNION AND CONFIRMANDS. Catechism classes for the candidates for the First Communion and the confirmands go as usual. This Friday, March 8 there is a class for the candidates for the First Communion at 7:45 p.m., while the confirmands will have their class on the other Friday, March 15 at 7:30 p.m. Attending Sunday mass is implied for all.
*BILINGUAL MASS. Next bilingual Mass we plan to have on March 10, at 11:00 a.m. After Mass, everyone is invited to our church hall for a gathering with cappuccino, dessert, foosball, ping pong and PS5 for children.
*ENVELOPES, CALENDARS AND TAX RECEIPTS. If somebody didn't pick up his new donation envelopes, calendars or tax receipt, he can do so at the stand by the entrance door.

*ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING. Croatian soccer club Jadran is planning its AGM for the members today at 12:30 p.m. in the church hall. Everyone is welcome.
