*POPE’S MESSAGE FOR THE 111th WORLD DAY OF MIGRANTS AND REFUGEES. On October 4 and 5, as part of the Jubilee of Migrants and World Missions, the Catholic Church celebrates the 111th World Day of Migrants and Refugees. This special day, observed each year, serves as a reminder to pray, reflect and act for those who have been forced to leave their homes in search of safety, dignity and a better future.
Holy Father Leo XIV in a message for the 111th World Day of Migrants and Refugees themed "Migrants – Missionaries of Hope", points out that migrants and refugees are "privileged witnesses of hope" in a world affected by wars, inequality and global crises. In the multi-layered text, the Holy Father is deeply aware of the crisis of broken peace and many other threats in the entire world, but on the contrary, he emphasizes hope. In this Jubilee year, this topic preoccupies us even more, and in the context of refugees and migrants, hope has an even more pronounced significance, because it carries and moves a person in trouble, while the Church, carried by hope, goes towards its future homeland.
You can find the entire message on the bulletin board at the church entrance or at: https://www.vatican.va/content/leo-xiv/en/messages/migration/documents/20250725-world-migrants-day-2025.html
