*FIRST FRIDAY AND SATURDAY. First Friday of the month is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and sacramental confession. Half an hour before the Mass there will be the Eucharsitic Adoration and a chance for confession in our church. First Saturday of every month is dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and prayer for vocation.

*MARIAN DEVOTION IN MAY. Marian month of May begins this week. We will pray together Holy Rosary and Lauretan Litany every day, half an hour before the Mass.

*CATECHISM CLASSES FOR THE CONFIRMANDS. Next catechism class for the confirmands will be on Friday, May 10 at 7:30 p.m.

*ST. LEOPOLD MANDIĆ AND MOTHER’S DAY PARISH LUNCHEON. On Sunday, May 12, after mass, we organize a traditional parish luncheon on the occasion of the annual parish patron feast - St. Leopold Mandić Day and Mother's Day. Ticket prices are $30 for adults, $20 for students, free for children under 6 years old. Reservations at the parish office (613-722-7135) and Vinko Marinković (613-822-3321).

*46th ANNUAL CONCERT AND BANQUET.  CROATOAN invites you to attend their spring concert and banquet on Saturday, May 4th, 2024. The CONCERT is at Algonquin Commons Theatre (1385 Woodroffe Avenue). The doors open at 11:30 a.m. and the concert begins at 12:00 p.m. Tickets are $20. Children under 2 are free. The BANQUET is in the church hall. The doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $70 for adults and $60 for seniors, students and performers. Children under 5 are free.  Join us for a catered dinner and live music by "Ponosni Hrvati". *SUMMER SOCCER PROGRAM CHILDREN. From June 4 onward, we organize soccer practice for children in four groups: 1. born on 2020 + 2021 (3 + 4 years old group), 2. born on 2018 + 2019 (5 + 6 years old group), 3. born from 2016 – 2017 (7 + 8 years old group) and 4. born from 2012 – 2015 (9 – 12 years old group).

The start date for this year’s program will be Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at 6:45 p.m. The soccer will take place at Craig Henry Park. It will only be on Tuesdays and will take place for the majority of dates through the summer months and ending on September 10, 2024.

This is not a full soccer program. It is meant to just provide a solid introduction to soccer to your child and allow them to learn the game while making friendships and getting some good exercise along the way. We are happy to accept volunteers for coaching positions to help make this a positive activity for the children.
