*DEATH NOTIFICATION. On Monday, May 20, 2024, our parishioner Anton Ćustić, husband of Anica Ćustić, has passed away in Ottawa at the age of 79. Visitation will be held today from 2 p.m. till 5:30 p.m. at Kelly Funeral Home, Walkley Road. Funeral Mass will be tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. in our church, and burial at Pinecrest Cemetery to follow. May the Lord grant him eternal rest and consolation to the family and friends.
*FIRST SATURDAY. This week we have the first Saturday in June. Every First Saturday is dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and prayer for vocations.
*MARIAN DEVOTION IN MAY. Friday is the last day. We pray together Holy Rosary and Lauretan Litany every day, half an hour before the Mass.
*CORPUS CHRISTI. Next Sunday is the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi). After the Mass, the Holy Sacrament will be exposed for the solemn veneration. Stay a little longer in adoration and prayer before Christ present in the Host.

*SOCIAL GATHERING INVITATION. Croatoan and the Slovenian folklore group Plesati invite you on Monday, May 27 to learn and share folklore traditions, traditional food, and socialize! This event will take place at the Hintonburg Community Centre, 1064 Wellington, from 6:30-8:30pm. For more information please contact Valerie Susak at 613-406-7535.
*** JADRAN
*KIDS SOCCER SUMMER PROGRAM. For children age 3 to 12. The start date for this year’s program will be Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at 6:45 p.m. The soccer will take place at Craig Henry Park. It will only be on Tuesdays and will take place for the majority of dates through the summer months and ending on September 10, 2024. Registrations and more info at Brian Rogić (brian.rogic@modis.com). Number of participants is limited. A registration cost of $50 will need to be paid by May 31st.
*SOCCER COACHES. Jadran is looking for experienced and committed soccer coaches to commit Tuesday nights starting June 3rd. Also some non coaches and volunteers to help with bringing equipment each week. Commitment runs from June 3rd to September 10th 2024

*CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL VIEWING PARTY. June 1st is Jadran’s first club event where we will watch the Champions League Final in our church hall – Real Madrid v Borussia Dortmund
Doors open at 2PM and game commences at 3PM
Pečenje (pork) and ćevapi will be available for purchase while quantities last
$5 entrance and $15 for ćevapi and $25 for pečenje
*MEMBERSHIP. Memberships for Jadran will be solicited for 2024 year free of charge. We are looking to build up an email list and potentially have persons interested in volunteering throughout the year for events. If interested contact Brian Rogic at brian.rogic@akkodisgroup.com
*CROATIAN DAY will be held June 15th at our Church hall with the Game Croatia v Spain commencing activities for the day at 12Noon. Doors will open at 11AM. More details to follow.
