*** CROATIAN EMBASSY

* KLAPA GRDELIN CONCERT. To mark Croatian Heritage Day in the Province of Ontario, The Embassy of Croatia to Canada invites you to for an exclusive evening with Klapa Grdelin. The concert will take place on Wednesday, 4 June 2025, 6:30-7:30 pm at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 400 Sparks Street, Ottawa. Please RSVP to croemb.ottawa@mvep.hr Klapa Grdelin, who is visiting Canada for this special occasion, is one of the best representatives of the beautiful tradition of klapa singing, recognized by UNESCO as Intangile Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2021. Klapa Grdelin drawing inspiration for its repertoire from the rich cultural and musical heritage of the City of Split and its surroundings. By proclaiming May 30 as Croatian Heritage Day, the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Ontario has recognized the remarkable contributions of Ontarians of Croatian descent, as well as the values they bring and the important role they have played in shaping the identity of Ontario. This special concert is part of the events celebrating the Croatian Heritage Day across the province.

* MARIAN DEVOTION IN MAY. Marian month of May is coming to an end, but recommendation for daily praying of the Holy Rosary remains.

*CONFESSION DAY FOR THE CONFIRMANDS, PARENTS AND SPONSORS AND REHEARSAL. On Friday, June 6 at 7:30 p.m. there will be Confession Day for the confirmands, their parents and sponsors in our church, as well as rehearsal for the Confirmation.

*** CROATOAN

* ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING. Croatoan's annual general meeting will be held on Monday, June 9, 2025 in the church hall, starting at 7:00 p.m. The council will report on its work during the past year. Then, elections will be held for positions on this year's new council. 

*** JADRAN

* CROATIAN DAY. Jadran will organize Croatian Day picnic on June 14 in the church hall. More information to follow.

* KIDS SOCCER PROGRAM. Children’s soccer program that is run by Jadran commenced last week and there are currently 69 Children Registered. Our goal this year is 100 Children so please spread the word to close friends and family. We run at Briargreen park (Beside Briargreen Public School in Nepean) and run throughout the summer period. * JADRAN SCHEDULE THIS WEEK. Men’s Premier – Thursday May 29th at 8:30PM at Terry Fox South (Mooneys Bay Main Field). MC3 – May 29th at 6:30PM at Terry Fox North (Mooney’s Bay North Field). Masters OT3 – May 30th at Fitzroy Harbour CC west (Near Egbert Reitsma Park). OT2 – June 1st 7PM  at Russell Raiders (exact Location TBD). MC4 – June 1st 6:30PM  at Moffat Farm Veterans Park (off Prince of Wales Drive).
