There will be a Confirmation in English for older teen & adult Catholics who have missed Confirmation on Pentecost Sunday, May 19 , 2:30 pm at Notre Dame Cathedral. *DEATH NOTIFICATION. Otavia Pamić, widow of late Bruno Pamić, has passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024, in Ottawa at the age of 81. She was buried at Hope Cemetery on Friday, February 23. May the Lord grant her eternal peace and divine consolation to the family and friends.
*THE LENT SEASON. We have entered the Lent season, 40 days preparation for Easter, which should be marked with fasting, penance and almsgiving. Remember your neighbour in material and spiritual need. Keep in mind obligation of abstinence from meet on Lenten Fridays. Way of the Cross will take place in our church every Friday and Sunday, half an hour before Mass.
*FIRST FRIDAY AND SATURDAY. First Friday of the month is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and sacramental confession. Half an hour before the Mass there will be the Way of the Cross and a chance for confession in our church. First Saturday of every month is dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and prayer for vocation.
*CATECHISM CLASSES FOR CANDIDATES FOR THE FIRST COMMUNION AND CONFIRMANDS. Catechism classes for the candidates for the First Communion and the confirmands go as usual. This Friday, March 1 there is a class for the confirmands at 7:30 p.m., while the candidates for the First Communion will have their class on the other Friday, March 8 at 7:45 p.m. Attending Sunday mass is implied for all.
*ENVELOPES, CALENDARS AND TAX RECEIPTS. If somebody didn't pick up his new donation envelopes, calendars or tax receipt, he can do so at the stand by the entrance door.
