*INDIGENOUS RECONCILIATION FUND – EXHIBITION “RECONCILIATION THROUGH ART”. Join us September 30th for Reconciliation Through Art. For the past two years you have heard a lot about the Indigenous Reconciliation Fund. Through your generosity our parishes have raised close to a million dollars for the Fund. To date 11 projects have received grants from the Indigenous Reconciliation Fund. The newest grant recipient is the Métis Artist Collective who is hosting Reconciliation Through Art on September 30th at the Mississippi Valley Textile Museum (3 Rosamond Street East.) The day, which runs from 10 am to 8 pm, will feature art, storytelling and performances from local and Indigenous artists. The artists will be selling their art, explaining and demonstrating their craft, and telling the stories behind their pieces. There will also be workshops, presentations, and storytelling throughout the day. We invite you to make the drive over to Almonte both to support these artists as well as see how your financial contributions do indeed make a difference. To get all the details about what promises to be a wonderful event including your free tickets go to reconciliationthroughart.ca.

*CATECHISM CLASSES FOR THE CANDIDATES FOR THE FIRST COMMUNION AND CONFIRMANDS. Catechism classes have startzed and go on regular schedule. Confirmands have their meeting this Friday, September 27 at 7:30 p.m. in the church. Communicands will have their meeting next Friday, October 4 at 7:30 p.m. Attending Sunday Mass is standard part of preparations for the sacraments as well as the third God's Commandment.

*REGISTER FOR LITURGICAL ASSOCIATES. We invite everyone interested in taking more active role in the liturgy to talk to the pastor after one of the next few Sunday Masses. First of all, we are looking for altar servers. Parents can register their children of 8 and older. Liturgical readers age 16 and older can register themselves in person. If there is any musical instrument player wishing to join our liturgical players team, he/she is more than welcome to do so.
