* VOCATIONS APPEAL - SPECIAL COLLECTION (April 26). God has answered our prayers for vocations in a remarkable way. After a short time with no seminarians, our archdiocese now has six men in formation, and we expect up to twelve next year. Through the Vocations Appeal, we seek to raise $500,000 this year to support their formation, which costs approximately $65,000 per seminarian per year. Each of these men has answered the call of the Good Shepherd with courage and faith. Now, the call comes to us to walk with them and support them as they are formed to serve God’s people well. * DEATH NOTIFICATION. Ana Curran nee Herjavec has passed away on Sunday, April 12, in Cornwall, at the age of 64. She was a sister-in-law of our Ivan Basar. May the Lord grant her eternal rest and consolation of faith to the family and friends.

* CATECHISM CLASSES FOR THE CONFIRMANDS. Next catechism class for the confirmands will be on Friday, May 1 at 7:30 p.m.

* ST. LEOPOLD MANDIĆ AND MOTHER’S DAY PARISH LUNCHEON. On Sunday, May 10, after mass, we organize a traditional parish luncheon on the occasion of the annual parish patron feast - St. Leopold Mandić Day and Mother's Day. Ticket prices are $30 for adults, $20 for students, free for children under 6 years old. Reservations at the parish office (613-722-7135) and Vinko Marinković (613-822-3321). Church hall preparation will start on Saturday, May 9 at 7:00 p.m. We also invite volunteers who can donate cakes for the occasion to do so.

* PASTORAL COUNCIL VOLUNTEERS – INVITATION. We are looking for community members interested in participating in the St. Leopold Mandić Pastoral Council. This is a wonderful opportunity to participate, listen, and learn—especially as we begin planning children and family activities for the Fall. * 48^th ANNUAL CONCERT AND BANQUET. CROATOAN invites you to attend their spring concert and banquet. The "Let's Save Ours" CONCERT is Saturday, April 25th at Meridian Theaters @ Centrepointe - Les Lye Studio Theater (101 Centrepointe Drive). The concert starts at 1 p.m.. Tickets can be purchased for $20 at the Ticket Purchase Link BANQUET will be in the church hall on Saturday, April 25th. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., dinner starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $65 for adults and $55 for seniors, students and performers. Admission for children up to 5 years old is free. * VIEWING PARTY FOR CROATIA VS. ENGLAND IN THE WORLD CUP. Jadran Soccer Club plans to host the world cup opening game on Wednesday June 17^th 2026 at 4PM at our Church Hall.  We are hopeful that the community will support the viewing of this game and event. More details are currently being organized by our Club and more information will be available in the coming weeks. These events to show the games have not been very well supported in the past so we are hopeful that people will pop in after their work day to watch this game at the Church Hall. * RETURN OF THE CROATIAN DAY PICNIC IN 2026. Over the past few years, Jadran Soccer Club has contemplated to bring back the Croatian Day Picnic back to an event on our Calendar and we are pleased to announce that we are planning to bring back the Picnic and celebrate with our community on Saturday June 27^th 2026.  This will be an afternoon/evening event where we plan to show the World Cup game between Croatia and Ghana at 5:00PM. More details will follow in the coming weeks but please mark your calendars and support the event.
